How to Maintain a Door Handle for Optimal Performance on 2004 Jeep Liberty?

Take out the door glass before working on the exterior handle of your door. Now, if your car has a lock switch, take out its electrical connector and then take apart the handle rod at the handle and the key cylinder rod at the latch. Remove the fasteners, unscrew the handle and remove it completely. For installation, fix the handle on the door, then move it toward the hinge until it always rests on the back of the door. After adding the nuts, tighten them to 6 N.m (55 in.lbs.) and then do the same with the screws. Link the handle rod to the handle again and hook the key cylinder rod to the latch. If the lock has a switch, reattach the electrical connector and, normally, reinstall the door glass.
