How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on 2004 Jeep Liberty?

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is found at the rear of the intake manifold and it is sealed with an O-ring. Disconnect the electrical cable from the sensor first and then wipe clean the surface around the MAP sensor. After that, unscrew the MAP sensor with the TORX tool, remove it from the intake manifold and carefully check the O-ring. During installation, clean the hole on the intake manifold for the MAP sensor and make sure the O-ring has no cuts or tears. Connect the sensor into the manifold, secure it with the screws and tighten them to 3 Nm (25 in. lbs.) before connecting the electric cable again.
