How to Service the Cigarette Lighter Power Outlet on 2004 Jeep Wrangler?

To service the cigarette lighter, remove the battery negative cable. Remove the knob and element, and then use snap ring pliers to unthread the receptacle base from the instrument panel. Disconnect the wire harness, take out the mount and reinstall by reconnecting the harness and fixing the base. Finally, reinstall the knob and reconnect the battery.
