How to Service the Cigarette Lighter Auxiliary Power Outlet on 2005 Jeep Wrangler?

To service the Cigarette Lighter, Disconnect the Battery Negative Cable. Remove the knob and element then use snap ring pliers to disengage the receptacle base from the instrument panel. Disconnect the wire harness, remove the mount and reinstall using the wire harness connection and base. Finally, reinstall the knob and reconnect the battery.
