Begin by disconnecting the negative battery cable and after that, take out the air cleaner housing. After that, take out the air pump switchover tube and air pump harness connector. Get rid of the bolt holding the air pump and remove the pump from the retaining bracket. When you install the air pump, put it into the bracket and tighten the retaining bolt with 20 N.m force (177 in. lbs.). After that, reattach the air pump harness connector and air pump switchover tube, put back the air cleaner housing and connect the negative battery cable.
