2005 Chrysler Crossfire Body Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install the Body Control Module on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Before you take out the Body Control Module, first disconnect the negative battery cable. Once that is out, slide the clips again, this time forward, to free the plastic box cover from the module. Tap the metal clip at the back of the metal control retainer and gently pull the body control module up and out of the control box. Turn the lock on the grey windshield wiper plug to the right to unlock and disconnect it and next lift the lock of the metal body control module connector to remove all remaining electrical connectors. Take out the body control module from inside the control module box. To install, join the electrical connectors to the body control module and press the metal body control module connector lock down to lock the assembly. After that, link the windshield wiper electrical connector and pull the grey windshield wiper lock to the left so it is fully locked. Put the body control module into the control module box until the metal clip connects. Attach the cover of the plastic control module and lock it in place by sliding the clips to the back. With the positive cable removed and battery carrier secure, now reconnect the negative cable. After everything is set up, information can be transferred from the Drbiii® or be typed in manually from Techtools or Star Hotline to setup the Bcm. Once in the Drbiii®, go to the Select Module Service Replacement screen, choose Bcm Replacement and press Enter at every option screen after making your selections.
