  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Seat Motor on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
    A: To start working on the power seat motor, first remove the negative battery cable. Open the seat back cushion to get to the recliner motor and then remove the bolt that holds it to the seat frame. Disconnect the recliner motor harness then take the snap ring on the shaft off before removing the shaft from the seat back frame. After taking out the recliner motor, confirm that the rubber mount for the attachment bolt is in place while you install the new motor. Replace the shaft into the seat back frame and lock it with the snap ring. Place and secure the harness in the way it was designed so that it does not affect anything that moves. Line up the motor with the seat's back frame and insert the bolt; then tighten the bolt to 4 N.m (35 in. lbs.). Install the connector into the recliner motor harness, put the seat back cover back in place and attach the negative battery cable.
