For this task, disconnect the battery negative terminal before anything else. After taking off the rear wiper arm, transport the liftgate trim panel by removing it from the liftgate. Unplug the electrical connection at the rear wiper motor and then remove the three screws attaching the motor to the liftgate. Fit the rear wiper motor onto the liftgate, use the included screws to fix it in place and tighten them to 6 ± 1 Nm (55 ± 10 in. lbs.). Replace the conventional rear wiper motor electrical connector, set the trim panel back into place and attach the rear wiper arm. After that, reconnect the negative battery cable and test the vehicle's functioning.
