How to Maintain a Knock Sensor Installed in the Cylinder Block on 2005 Dodge Caravan?

Before you service the knock sensor which is threaded in the side of the cylinder block up front, unplug the electrical connector from the knock sensor. Remove the knock sensor by using a crow foot socket afterward. After the new sensor is in place, secure it with 10 N.m (7 ft. lbs.) of torque, since incorrect tightening may result in incorrect spark timing and affect the sensor's work. Connect the electrical connector to the knock sensor as well.
