How to Service and Repair a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2005 Dodge Durango?

Remove the watershield as the first step in service or repair to the front door latch. Following this, pull out bolt 3 and unscrew nut 2 and place the rear glass run channel 1 as a side. Before taking out the latch, unscrew the latch screws 5, pull away the actuator rods 3 and take the electrical connectors 6 out of the latch. Install the latch into the door and link back the electrical connector 6 and the actuator rod 3. Consumate the installation by installing screws and tightening them to 10 N.m (85 in.lbs.), then set the latch to the best position. Move the rear glass run channel, place the nut and bolt inside and tighten the fasteners to 8 N.m (70 in.lbs.), then put the watershield back in place.
