How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Latch Assembly on 2006 Dodge Durango?

Before working on the rear door latch, remove the watershield. After that, take apart the latch actuator system by disconnecting rods 3 and 4 and unscrewing the screws at 5. Go to electrical connector 2 and remove it. To attached the latch, put it in place on the door and then connect the electrical connector 2. Attach the latch and tighten its screws 5 to 10 N.m (85 in.lbs.). After that, fasten the actuator rods 3 and 4 together and replace the watershield.
