2005 Dodge Durango Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2005 Dodge Durango?
A: Removing the air cleaner tube at the throttle body and taking out the electrical connectors from the IAC motor and TPS allows for repair or servicing of the throttle body. Then, take out all control cables from the throttle body lever arm, using the same steps for the accelerator pedal and throttle cable. Take out the pronounced throttle body and disconnect the vacuum tube linking it to the car's intake manifold. Take off the throttle body and look at the old O-ring between the throttle body and the intake manifold. Inspect the O-ring between the throttle body and intake manifold; if it's worn, change it. Clean the mating parts of the throttle body and intake manifold, place the new O-ring and set up the throttle body on the manifold. Attach it using the three mounting bolts and tighten each to 11 N.m (100 inches per pound). Next, put in the control cables, electrical connectors and vacuum lines and then install the air what goes above.
