2006 Dodge Durango Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: Begin with removing the tube that connects to the throttle body's air cleaner; afterward, unhook the two electrical connectors connected to the IAC motor and TPS. After that, clear the control cables from the lever arm on the throttle body and remove the necessary vacuum lines. Unscrew the three throttle body bolts and take the throttle body from the intake manifold to inspect the old O-ring between them. When installing, remove the O-ring on the throttle body-to-intake manifold and replace it if it needs it and don't forget to clean the surfaces that touch. Put in the new O-ring, fasten the throttle body to the intake manifold and close it with the three mounting bolts tightened to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.) torque. Attach the control cables, electrical connectors and proper vacuum lines and after that, fit the air plenum.
