How to Service and Repair a Rear Engine Mount on 2005 Dodge Magnum?

For rear engine mount service and repair, lift the vehicle on a hoist first. Take out the two cross member to mount bolts and fit a transmission jack under the transmission pan. Then raise the transmission. After that, remove the bolts holding the cross member in place and take out the cross member. Remove the mount to transmission bolts and take the mount off the engine. The first step in installing is to fit the mount to the transmission bolts and tighten them to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). After that, fit the cross member in place and tighten its bolts to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.). Adjust the transmission to a level where starting and tightening the two mount bolts is possible by hand. Lastly, turn the two mount bolts until they reach 47 Nm (39 ft. lbs.).
