How to Service and Repair a Rear Engine Mount on 2006 Dodge Magnum?

The first step to servicing the rear engine mount is to raise the car on a hoist and take out the cross member mount bolts. After that, use a transmission jack and lift the transmission from beneath the pan. Take out the bolts from the cross member and pull it out. Subsequently, unbolt the two mount to transmission bolts and send out the mount. Start installation by mounting the bracket to the transmission holes using the supplied bolts, then tighten to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Then, set the cross member in place along with the attaching bolts and tighten them to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.), using a torque wrench. Place the vehicle's transmission in a position where you can start and tighten the mount bolts by hand and then remove the jack. Afterwards, tighten the bolts on the mount to 47 Nm (39 ft. lbs.).
