How to Service an Ignition Coil on 2005 Dodge Magnum?

To work on the ignition coil, the negative cable to the battery needs to be unplugged and the intake manifold needs to be taken out. Before removing the ignition coils, spray compressed air at the area of the coil and spark plug. After that, disconnect the wiring connector from the ignition coil and remove the two nuts or bolts holding it in place and then take out the whole ignition coil assembly. Install the coil into the spark plug, tighten it with the coil screws to 6.2 N.m (55 in lbs.) to ensure a secure connection for the 2.7L engine. Secure the electrical connector first and afterwards put the intake manifold back in and reconnect the negative battery cable.
