How to Effectively Service and Repair an Alternator on 2005 Dodge Neon?

In order to fix the alternator, one should disconnect the battery, loosen the jam nut, and lift the vehicle. Take out the splash shield, generator belt and wiring. Unscrew out the generator, and pivot bracket and screw the generator and bracket back in. Close all the bolts, reattach the splash shield, and reconnect battery.
