2005 Dodge Ram 3500 Coolant Reservoir Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Coolant Reservoir for a 5.9L Diesel Engine on 2005 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: The first step is to take out the overflow hose from the radiator and only after that should you remove the mounting bolts. After that, remove the coolant recovery bottle from the mounting bracket. Affix the coolant recovery bottle onto the original bracket, then insert and hand-tighten the bolts to 8.5 Nm (75 inch lbs.). Replace the overflow hose into the location on the radiator where it belongs.
