Before fitting, pour clean engine oil into the filter using the same type as will be used in the engine and apply a small amount of lubricating oil to the sealing surface. Be careful not to tighten the filter too much or you could damage or unthread the filter inside the seal. When the filter reaches the oil filter adapter, give it a tightening of 1/2 revolution to be sure it's secure.
