2005 Dodge Ram 3500 Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Rear Wheel Speed Sensor on 2005 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: You should first lift your vehicle using a hoist to access the rear wheel speed sensor. Take out the brake line mounting nut and carefully remove the brake line from the sensor stud. After that, get the mounting stud out of the sensor and shield and take out the sensor and shield from the differential. Pull out the sensor wire harness and remove the sensor from its place. When installing, attach the harness to the sensor, making sure the seal is properly between the sensor and the connector wiring. If the O-ring has been removed, place it onto the sensor. Add the sensor to the differential housing and next, add the shield. Attach the bracket sensor mounting stud and tighten it so that it reaches 24 Nm. After brake line removal, place the free end on the stud, install the nut and then lower the vehicle.
