2005 Dodge Sprinter 2500 ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair the ABS Control Module for Antilock Brakes on 2005 Dodge Sprinter 2500?
A: When servicing or repairing the HCU, make sure to put the unit straight up. First, take the ground wire from the battery and remember to have the ignition turned off while doing so. After that, unplug the multiplug from the control module and take off the brake lines from the hydraulic control unit, mark each line so you can reassemble them properly and seal the connections. Take out the hydraulic control unit from the position on the bracket and check the rubber mounts while doing so. If they look damaged, put in new ones. While putting in the hydraulic control unit, slip it into the rubber mounts, attach the brake lines and tighten them to 16 Nm (142 inch lbs.). Connect the multiplug back to the control module and ground the battery using the cable. Following installation, bleed the brakes, check the brake fluid tank and replace or top up the level if needed.
