2005 Dodge Sprinter 2500 Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Disc on Single Rear Wheel on 2005 Dodge Sprinter 2500?
A: To change or repair the front brake rotors on single rear wheel vehicles, first lift the car and then take the front wheels off the ground. Remove the front brake pads and the caliper adapter as the next step. Rather than removing the rotor in one step, use two lug studs after the first bolt, then two more lug nuts to detach the rotor. After installing the rotor atop the hub, attach it with the two lug studs and tighten the locking bolt to 23 Nm (204 inch lbs.). After reconnecting the caliper adapter, tighten it to 170 Nm (125 ft. lbs.). Then, mount the brake pads into the calipers. Repeatedly press and release the brake pedal until you feel firm pressure. Check the brake fluid if needed, add more if required, reinstall the front wheels and return the car to the ground.
