2006 Dodge Sprinter 2500 Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair the Rear Brake Disc on 2006 Dodge Sprinter 2500?
A: For single rear wheel models, raise the vehicle and hold it securely, then take off the rear wheels. After that, pull out the rear disc brake pads and the disc brake caliper adapter. Use the parking brake and mount two lug studs to the disc brake rotor before you remove the locking bolt. Afterward, undo the two lug nuts and turn off the parking brake. Free up the park brake adjuster first and next take the rear disc brake rotor out of its place. Connect the hub with the new rotor and hold it in place using two lug studs. Use the parking brake, install the locking bolt for the rotor and tighten it to 23 Nm (204 inch lbs.). Install the disc brake caliper adapter and tighten it to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.) and then slot the brake pads in place. Let go of the parking brake, set it and push your brake pedal several times. Look at the reservoir fluid and make a fix if required and then set the rear wheels and lower the entire car.
