How to Service and Repair a Door Lock Cylinder on the Driver's Side Front Door on 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

You should begin by taking the outside driver front door handle off to service and repair the door lock cylinder. Use your hand to press the face of the lock cylinder and continue until it pops free of the opening at the end of the door handle. Insert the lock cylinder through the hole on the back of the driver side door handle. Apply a firm hand pressure to the back of the cylinder to make sure it is fully sitting in place. Position the lock cylinder so that the two holes on its side line up with the holes on the door handle and then add the exterior door handle to the outside of the driver side front door.
