2005 Jeep Liberty Coolant Reservoir Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain the Coolant Reservoir in a Non-Pressure 2.4L Engine System on 2005 Jeep Liberty?
A: In a non-pressure system, service the 2.4L engine's coolant recovery container by removing the mounting nuts first. Take out the coolant from the bottle and then raise the bottle to release it from the bottom of the radiator hose. When installing, join the coolant bottle to the same end of the radiator hose, mount the bottle on the bracket and use 8.5 Nm (75 inch lbs.) to tighten the mounting nuts. In the end, fill the oil in all the right spots.
