How to Maintain the Differential Cover on a 194RBI Rear Axle on 2005 Jeep Wrangler?

Place the rear end axle 194RBI on a hoist in neutral. Undo the cover bolts and drain plug, remove the cover and drain the lubricant. Put a line of Mopar Silicone Rubber Sealant or an equivalent around the housing cover and put it in place within 3 to 5 minutes or else buff out the seal and insert new RTV rubber so no damage occurs. Then, set up the cover by adding the identification tag and bolting the cover in place with a cross-pattern, tighten them to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Fill the differential with the correct lubricant and plug it, fastening the plug with 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.) of torque.
