How to Remove and Install a Speed Sensor in the Transfer Case Rear Extension on 2005 Jeep Wrangler?

The Vehicle Speed Sensor is installed at the rear of the transfer case extension. First, raise the vehicle and prop it up so the sensor is easy to access. Slide the release tab, push the secondary release lock on the side of the connector and pull the connector from the sensor after that. After that, unscrew the sensor mounting bolt and gently pull the sensor from the rear lifting arm. To mount the sensor, push it inside the transfer case rear extension, position the mounting bolt and add no more than 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.) of torque. After that, attach the electrical connector to the sensor.
