How to Service and Repair a Trunk Lid Latch on 2007 Chrysler 300?

To repair the trunk or lift gate latch, open the deck lid and disconnect the negative cable of the battery. Remove the cover over the latch, disconnect the body wire harness and unscrew the two screws holding the latch in place. Finally, remove the latch in the deck lid.
