Uncover the latch on the inside of the deck, then separate the body wire harness take out harness from its connector on the latch receptacle. Move on to unlocking the two screws under the latch and pull out the latch. To set up the latch, put it within the lid of your deck and screw on and tighten the two pieces to 8 N.m (71 in.lbs.). Replace the body wire connector take off for the deck lid on the latch connector receptacle, cover the latch, reconnect the battery negative cable and shut the deck lid close.

Open the deck lid and slide the latch behind it into the small recess where it should go. Screw the two latching screws into the roof frame, tightening each to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.). Fit the separated wire from the body wire harness into the latch connector receptacle at the base of the deck lid. Slide the cover in place over the latch located within the deck lid. After that, reattach the negative cable to the battery and close the deck lid.
