How to Service an Exhaust Heat Shield on 2006 Chrysler Crossfire?

Start the heat shield service by taking off the front exhaust piece, then remove the nuts and the shield. In the back, begin with the muffler and then remove the nuts and the heat shield itself. After positioning the front heat shield on the floor pan and attaching the heat shield nuts, tighten those nuts to 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.). Then, reinstall the front exhaust section and start the engine to look for exhaust leaks. Gently put the rear heat shield in place, tighten its fasteners 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.) and then put back the muffler.
