- Q: How to Service and Repair Lash Adjusters on 2006 Chrysler Crossfire?A: To work on hydraulic lifters, first take out the Cylinder Head Cover and the Camshaft Bearing Bridge Assembly. Place a 2 mm drift through the center of the hydraulic lifter, press it out so it sits separately from the rocker arm and make sure it does not move. Dip each lifter assembly into cleaning solvent to get rid of varnish and sludge and careful inspection of wear along the side and base of every lifter is necessary. Put the compensation disc (1) in the lifter bore in the head and push the hydraulic lifter (3) into the lifter track on the rocker arm (1), checking that the locking ring snaps into place. After that, put the Camshaft Bearing Bridge assembly back on the cylinder head and the Cylinder Head Cover.
