How to Service and Repair a Front Crankshaft Seal on 2006 Chrysler Crossfire?

Before starting the service on the front crankshaft oil seal, remove the negative battery cable, take off the engine cooling fan and shroud, accessory drive belt and vibration damper. Lay a rag over the crankshaft and use a suitable pry to remove the front crankshaft oil seal. Before installation, clear any burrs from the surface where the seal will be mounted and ensure that the front crankshaft oil seal rim, mating surface and fifferent circumference are all clean of oil. Place the front crankshaft oil seal in the Special Tool 9103 Insertion Tool, lining the crankshaft key with the slot in the tool. Use a proper tool to insert the vibration damper bolt through the insertion tool and then use the real vibration damper bolt to secure the seal into the timing chain cover until it's tight. first, take out the Special Tools and put the vibration damper, accessory drive belt and engine cooling fan and shroud back in place. When everything is done, attach the negative battery cable again.
