2006 Chrysler Pacifica Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Before beginning on the throttle body, first remove the negative power cable from the battery, then take off both the engine cover and the air cleaner box. Hold the throttle wide open, take off the throttle cable and speed control cables from the throttle lever and finally remove the bracket for the throttle cable. After this, separate the electrical wiring and remove the three bolts, retrieving the throttle body and remember to clean the surfaces the component will be set on before installing it. Review the throttle body gasket and change it if required, next put in the new gasket and put the throttle body back, securing it with the three bolts. Screw the metallic connectors back into the throttle, reinstall the bracket and while holding the throttle all the way open, join the cables to the throttle arm. Then, put back the air cleaner box and secure the engine cover and fasten the negative cable to the battery again.
