Once you are done with the fuel pressure release and removed the drain plugs from the cooling system, you can service the lower intake manifold. Remove the upper radiator hose from its connection to the thermostat housing and remove the upper intake manifold. After you have adjusted the reservoir and bracket for the power steering, unplug the sensors and fuel injectors. Then, unclamp the retaining bolt on the exhaust cross over, remove the heater hose from where it joins the intake manifold, disconnect the coolant hose at the thermostat housing and remove the fuel supply hose from the fuel rail. After you remove the bolts from the fuel rail, lift out the rail and injectors together. With the bolts removed, take the lower intake and its manifold out of the car. Before installing, wipe down all sealing surfaces, lay the new gaskets in place along with the intake manifold over the cylinder head surfaces, attach the manifold with the bolts in the right sequence until you reach 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.) torque on all bolts. Install the fuel rail and injectors together, attach the fuel supply hose to the fuel rail and put back the heater hose onto the intake manifold. Put the coolant container on the thermostat housing, attach the exhaust cross over bolts to the intake manifold and plug the electrical wires back into the fuel injectors and sensor. Place back the power steering fluid reservoir and its bracket, the upper intake manifold and the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing. After that, add fluid to the cooling system.
