2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Coolant Reservoir Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Coolant Reservoir on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Before servicing the reservoir, remove the overflow hose from the cold plunge connector, release the clip on the vent hose and take off the MAP sensor connector. After that, remove the screws connecting the power steering fluid reservoir bracket to the engine and reposition the reservoir onto its mounting point. After that, take out the coolant recovery container by loosening its fasteners. When you install the container, fasten at 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.) and carry out all procedures as specified by the manufacturer. Secure the vent hose with a clip attached to the dash stud, reattach the MAP sensor wires, install the fluid reservoir bracket fasteners and only begin to fill once the overflow hose is attached to the outlet connector.
