  • Q: How to Service a Coolant Reservoir on 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
    A: Before servicing the coolant recovery container, you should first take off the recovery hose from the coolant outlet connector, release the vent hose clip from the dash panel stud and get rid of the MAP sensor connection. Take out the screws securing the bracket holding the power steering fluid reservoir to the engine, once that is done, lift the reservoir out and restore it higher on the bracket. When that is done, unfasten the connectors attaching the container and remove the container from the radiator. While installing, put the coolant recovery container in place and fasten everything to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.). Connect the vent hose and put the vent hose clip on the stud in the dash panel. Insert the MAP sensor into its connector, attach the power steering fluid reservoir bracket with fasteners and bound the recovery hose to the coolant outlet connector. Make sure the container is filled up to where it should be.
