2006 Chrysler Sebring Oil Filter Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Change an Oil Filter on 2006 Chrysler Sebring?
A: First, lift the vehicle on a hoist and place an oil container under where the oil filter is located. When you are servicing, secure the filter can by placing the remove/install tool band strap between it and the base lock seam of the can. Take off the old oil filter by turning the end counterclockwise with a suitable filter wrench. Make sure the part used to mount the filter is clean, level and without any pieces of the gasket before you install your filter. Use clean engine oil to coat the newly installed gasket, followed by screwing on the oil filter until the gasket touchs the base and tighten it to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).
