2006 Chrysler Sebring Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Rear Outboard Seat Belt on 2006 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Removing the rear seat cushion should be followed by unbolting the seat belt anchor from the floor pan. Remove the upper and lower quarter trim panel and release the bolt attaching the rear D-ring to the upper quarter panel next. After that, remove the bolt holding the retractor to the panel inside the door and take out both the retractor and the belt. When installing, put the retractor and belt in place, install the bolt connecting the rear retractor to the quarter panel and torque it to 40 N.m (29.5 ft.lbs.). Pull the seat belt webbing and D-ring upward through the trim, install the corresponding bolt into the quarter panel and tighten it to 40 N.m (29.5 ft.lbs.). After reinstalling the upper quarter trim panel, fit the bolt to the seat belt anchor on the floor pan, check that the torque is 40 N.m (29.5 ft.lbs.), then place back the rear seat cushion.
