Look at both shoulder and lap belts and replace any that seem cut, frayed, torn or damaged. Replace the shoulder belt if the retractor is broken or does not work. Take out the negative
Battery Cable from the system and wait a couple of minutes. Remember to remove the front seat first, since you cannot reuse the prevailing nut that secured the lower anchor. Confirm if you have a replacement before you go on. Take off the seat back cover first, then remove the cover on the retractor itself. Remove the threaded bolts from the seat belt retractor's frame and then extract the retractor from that place and detach the wire connector. At installation, pay attention to the shoulder and lap belt, switching out any damaged ones. Install the retractor on the seat frame and link the wire connector. Insert new bolts to fasten the retractor to the seat frame and tighten them to about 16.2 Nm which is 12 ft. lbs. Put the retractor cover and
Seat Cover onto the rear seat and hook the lower anchor of the belt to the bolt found on the seat adjuster. Pull the belt to make sure it cannot twist when it is latched and check that at least three threads extend past the lower anchor in the seat, to guarantee the anchor can swivel as required; if not, make sure the bolt is securely inside the seat adjuster. Be sure to install the seat in your vehicle, use the proper instructions and put the seat track latch pins in the vehicle so that they are in line before you connect the battery.
