To service the thermostat housing, drain the cooling system, remove the thermostat, disconnect the coolant temperature sensor and heater hose and remove the housing and gasket. Clean surfaces, install gasket and housing, tighten bolts to 28 Nm, reconnect components and refill cooling system.
