2006 Chrysler Town & Country Throttle Position Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Throttle Position Sensor on 2006 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Start by disconnecting the battery's negative cable and then remove the electrical connection from the Inlet Air Temperature sensor. After that, remove the lid of the air cleaner box and the hose connected to the throttle body. First, separate the electrical connectors at the TPS and IAC and afterward, disconnect the cables from the throttle body. Remove the three bolts attaching the throttle body and remove the body itself. Separate the purge vacuum line and after that take off the TPS from the throttle body. For installation, put the TPS on the throttle body first and then secure the purge vacuum line back to it. Attach the throttle body to the engine with the three bolts and make sure they are all tight. Attach the cables from the throttle and speed control to the throttle body, connect the IAC electrical connector and next connect the TPS connector. Next, close the air cleaner box cover, attach the end of the hose to the Inlet Air Temperature sensor, attach the electrical connector to the same sensor and place the negative battery cable back.
