How to Maintain and Fix a Window Motor on 2006 Dodge Stratus?

The first thing to do when servicing or repairing a power window motor is to unhook and isolate the battery negative cable. After that, take out the window regulator and use a C clamp or similar tool to secure the sector gear to the mounting plate so you don't get hurt during motor removal. After the area is secured and your plate is in place, remove the motor from the regulator. During installation, guide the motor gearbox so that its teeth contact the regulator sector teeth which might necessitate some sliding or tilting to line up the mounting holes. Fasten the motor to the engine with the supplied bolts and tighten them to 8 N.m (70 in. lbs.), afterwards reinstall the regulator.
