2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Fuel Level Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Level Sensor in a Fuel Pump Module on 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: The side of the fuel pump module is where you'll find the fuel level sensor and float assembly. You should remove the fuel pump module from the fuel tank first. Park the engine and pull apart the connector from the fuel module, noting where each pin goes before you disconnect it. Grab the right wires from the fuel level sensor and take them out of the connector hook with an appropriate tool. The fuel level sensor should be removed from the pump module by first lifting the locking tab with a small pick or screwdriver and pulling the unit down its track. Reselect and place the proper wires into the connectors for both the motor and the pump module, so they are in the same places as before. Slide the fuel level sensor onto the tracks of the pump module, attach it and reattach the fuel pump module afterward.
