2007 Chrysler Aspen Fuel Rail Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Fuel Rail on a 4.7L Engine on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?
A: Before adding the 4.7L fuel rail and fuel injectors, clean out the machined bores in the intake manifold where the injectors go. Coat every fuel injector O-ring with a little engine oil as you begin installation. Secure the fuel rail/fuel injector assembly above the previously machined injector receptacles in the cylinder head, inserting each injector and ensuring the O-rings aren't damaged. Push down on the fuel rail on the right and keep it there until the injectors are touching the edge of the cylinder head, then repeat for the left side. Insert the 4 bolts into the mounting holes for the fuel rails and tighten them. Once that is done, fit the 8 ignition coils and join the electrical connectors from the ignition coils to the throttle body. Put the electrical connector onto injector 1 first, following that by sliding the red lock as far as the connector will allow. Pull gently on the connector to see if it is properly fastened. After that, thread the vacuum lines to the throttle body, fit the air resonator mounting bracket to the throttle body with 2 bolts up front and attach the fuel line latch clip and fuel line onto the fuel rail. Fit the air box to the throttle body first and then place the air duct into the air box. Afterward, attach the battery cable to the battery, start the engine and look for any liquids leaking from the vehicle.
