How to Properly Service a Muffler on 2007 Chrysler Crossfire?

Before servicing the muffler, make sure the exhaust has cooled off, as it can get very hot under the catalytic converter. Before you do anything else, raise the vehicle securely. Remove the rear support bracket if you have a convertible. Then, place support underneath the end of the exhaust system and quickly loosen and remove bolts 1 from the connection flange in the center. Take off ground strap 1 from the muffler and then remove pipe 1 from exhaust hanger 2. Pull off the rubber exhaust hangers 1 from the bracket and then take the rubber and the pipe out of the car.
