2007 Chrysler Crossfire EGR Valve Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install an EGR Valve on 2007 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Put a new gasket between the EGR valve and the cylinder head as the first step of installation. Loose-fit the front bolt (1) and do not tighten it, as you attach it to the cylinder head. Following that, bring the solenoid close to the valve and gently attach the solenoid to the valve bolt (3). After that, place the rear valve bolt (2) into the cylinder head, but don't tighten it yet. Screw the EGR tube flange nut (2) onto the valve only a little. Then, tighten each of the bolts going from the valve to the cylinder head (1) to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.), after which you tighten the flange nut (2) to 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.) and the solenoid to valve bolt (3) to 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.). Link up the solenoid harness connector (1) to the vacuum hose (2). After all the installation is done, connect the negative battery cable and insert the air cleaner housing.
