With the help of Special Tool 9159 Steering Seal Installer, replace the pitman shaft seal in the rack and pinion and then mount the upper snap ring. Clean any oil and grease from the splined section of the pitman arm as well as the pitman arm shaft before you put on the lower snap ring. Then, place the pitman arm at the measured depth of "A" and tighten the pinch bolt to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.). Finally, double-check the rack and pinion for leaks and ensure the power steering fluid level is right.
