2007 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Injector for a 3.8L Engine on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Before servicing and repairing the fuel injector, look for and change any damaged O-rings and then treat them with a few drops of clean engine oil. Clip the fuel injectors into their retaining units and attach the fuel injector locator flange to the fuel rail. Place the injectors into the injector rail until the clips are in their right positions, so you know the fuel injectors are inserted securely in the rail. Line up and then lower the fuel rail onto the cylinder heads, making sure the installed injectors are over them. Meanwhile, tighten the mounting bolts to 11.8 Nm (105 in. lbs.). Attach the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors, slide the connectors into place and join the fuel supply tube quick connect fitting to the fuel rail. Make sure the intake manifold gaskets are in good condition and put them in, then set in the intake manifold plenum. Bind the electrical connector for the MAP sensor and bring the three vacuum lines into place. Then, the Throttle Position Sensor and Idle Air Control Motor connectors must be linked, as should the purge line. Obviously, the final step is to reconnect the positive cable to the battery.
