2008 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install Fuel Injectors on a 3.8L Engine on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Open each O-ring at the top of every fuel injector and look for damage before installing them. Put a drop of clean engine oil onto all of the O-rings. If individual injectors are changed, put the remaining ones back where they were before you removed them. Place the fuel injectors in the fuel rail with their end clips in place and make sure each one sits securely. After adding a bit of engine oil to the O-ring on each injector, slide the nozzle into its opening on the manifold and seat it into place. Attach the fuel rail bolts and fasten them to a torque of 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.). Make certain the fuel injectors are properly linked to the electrical harness's connectors. Connect the fuel line quick connector to the intake manifold when attaching it, because a fuel leak on the hot engine could cause a fire. Stick the quick connect fuel line in the fuel rail, fit one end of the clean air hose to the throttle body and then, connect the negative battery cable. Hold the cable in place and tighten the nut to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.). Next, use the scan tool ASD Fuel System Test to operate the fuel system and identify any leaks.
