How to Install a Hood Hinge on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?

If you'd like, spray paint the hinge before installing it into the hood. Put the upper hood hinge on the hood while still finger tight and then set the lower hood hinge on the cowl, still finger tight. Place the hood on the vehicle and have a helper on the other side support it. With both hands, insert and tighten the pivot bolts and bushings to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.). Next, place the cowl plenum grille and use the marks and bolts to ensure the hood lies straight. Test the hood, making sure it works and is aligned. Then tighten the bolts that hold the hinge to the body to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.) and to the hood to 14 Nm (120 in. lbs.). After that, shut the hood, remove the supports holding it up and make sure it opens and closes properly.
